Purple Armadillos Spring 2010

The Sprint 2010 soccer season has come and gone, and just last week, I registered her for the Fall. This just goes to show how far behind I am on blogging.

Hannah and Rylee

My SUPER STAR!

Look at that wild stance!

I love that Rylee has shown an interest in soccer again! To be honest, when she decided to dance and cheerlead instead, it killed me! It was hard for me to swallow when she decided to sit out because I had spent countless hours on the soccer fields from Age 3-20! I tried not to show it, and instead encouraged her to search for something that she truly enjoyed. However, when she asked if she could play again, I jump for joy!

She did really well this last season, and grasped some of the core fundamentals of the game I love so dear! She was one of the top scorers, and was learning to stay in her position! That's a really hard concept for the girls. I'm excited to see what this next season brings. The Purple Armadillos are going to start practicing two days a week, and they move up to the BIG fields!

Fun at Grandad's

We love going to Grandad and Hanaba's. The kids always seem to learn something new, and enjoy their time at the house I was born and raised!

Rylee's jump rope was too long, so dad made an old dog lease into a Cutter sized jump rope! He loved it, and still uses it when we go over to visit and play!

Rylee even got Ryan to join in the fun! He still has the Alta Vista Jump Rope for Heart skill...hahaha!

Best Friends!

This melts my heart!
I'm so happy with the bond these two boys have made. I know the relationships I have with my uncles are one of a kind. I love watching Cutter interact with all of his uncles. Each one holds a special place in his heart! I thank you all for all your help in molding my little baby into the boy he is today!

Papaya Saves the Day

The Wylie Elementary 2nd Graders preformed a musical for all the parents, "Papaya Saves the Day." Rylee loves to sing and came home singing everyday! Therefore, I knew all the songs before the big day.

This is Rylee's quad before the performance.

Cutter was SO proud of his Roo Roo!

Hannah, Paige, Rylee and I.
It's sad because the only way I could get a picture with Roo was to join in with her friends. She's getting so big, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that.

Another reason I was a proud mommy that day was the sign that greeted all the visitors! Rylee earned Good Citizen for the fourth 6 weeks! She had worked so hard, and really controlled her talking during class! This was a huge achievement!

Rylee, I am SO proud to be your mommy! I could not have asked for a better daughter and best friend. You amaze me daily with your sense of style, yearning for knowledge and love for others. Don't ever forget how much I love you...all the way around the world!

Happy Valentines Day 2010

Happy Valentines Day 2010!

Gretchen would be so proud of the shoes Rylee secretly picked out to match her outfit! They remind me of her Converse collection! None the less, Rylee loved them!

Cutter received a few shirts in his favorite colors! Red and blue...Cooper colors...hahaha!

Grave Digger -vs- Maxium Destruction

February 13th, 2010, the Monster Trucks came roaring into the Taylor County Expo Center. Cutter and Justin had been watching them on TV together for a while. So, needless to say Cutter was thrilled! We went early enough so that we could do down on the track and look around. I couldn't help but snap a few pictures (on my camera phone). Both kids were amazed at how large they were in person.

It's hard to see, but Rylee and Cutter are both sitting in a wheel.

I bought some ear plugs ahead of time, but the noise was SO loud we had to break down and buy Cutter a pair of ear muffs! I think my ears rang for a couple days following the event.

Afterward, Justin and the kids got to ride in one of the Monster Trucks! Rylee rode in the front passenger seat (all by herself). Justin and Cutter rode with others in the bed of the truck. Yes, they were buckled in! To see their faces was an incredible feeling! They were so full of excitement and adrenaline, it was priceless! We really enjoyed our night out with the Monster Trucks, and I hope it's one the kids remember forever!

Daddy/Daughter Dance 2010

This was the first year in several that Justin was actually home to take Rylee to the Annual Father/Daughter Dance at the Abilene Civic Center. She was so nervous and anxious to go with him! Don't get me wrong, she was excited, but daddy's somehow have a way of embarrassing their children...or at least Justin does!

Here she is giving him the 'embarrassment' speech!

Her corsage...she couldn't wait any longer to see it!

My beautiful little girl!

Snow Day with Daddy!

I know, I know...it's almost been six months since my last post, but I'm going to try and play catch up within the next week. So, hold your horses and enjoy the ride!
February 11th SNOWED in Abilene! The kids were so excited to get to play in the snow AGAIN! Although this time daddy joined in the fun.

My sweet little 'snow' angels!
