2nd Grade Fashion

This is just to document what was in 'style' while Rylee was in second grade. It's my attempt at blackmail for when she gets older!

I actually like this one because it saves me a lot of time while I am folding clothes! Her socks don't have to match. I just put them in her sock drawer, and she picks the colors she wants!

This is not a good picture to represent ALL the 25-30 SILLY BANDS she wears daily on her wrist. They stay on all day long, during baths, during sleep, during play...all day!

I'll be interested to see if her third grade teacher allows them in the class room. Last year, there were several schools in Texas and across the United States that banned them from the classroom. They are said to be a distraction. Each band, when laid on a flat surface, takes on a shape of it's own. There are animals, purses, shoes, cartoon characters, shapes, anything you can imagine. Such a brilliant idea, and obviously someone is banking on it. They are in every corner store, grocery check out line and kid's stores!

This isn't fashion, it is just a chalk drawing Rylee did on the drive way one day. I think it is neat that she has created her own style while drawing. She did a couple of frontal views, and several profiles. Such an awesome drawer for a seven year old!

Wormie and Hot Wheels

When Ryan comes to town, he usually forgets to tell me, and just shows up at the door! This is one of those times! I think he had a blast from the past playing with all Cutter's cars and his new Hot Wheels ramp.

They had contests to see which cars would jump the farthest, crash the hardest, and just plain go the fastest!

The KNUCKLEHEAD wrestling match!

We always love it when Wormie comes to town! Thanks for always being there Ryan! I love you all the way around the world!

G Force

The 2nd graders at Wylie Elementary have a HUGE kickball tournament the last few weeks of school. When I missed the first game, Rylee came home asking where I was. I was thrilled that she missed me, and wanted me to come cheer on Mrs. Groban's G-Force!

These are the super star boys before the second game!
Cason, Brayden, Shayden and Alex

Rylee up to kick!

A little pep talk in between innings!

Cutter went with me to one of Rylee's games. There he met 'one' of his church girlfriends, Riley. They had fun playing in the dirt, playing tag, and just just for a minute, watching their brother and sister play!

It's Roo's turn to pitch!

G-Force lost their second game in the double elimination tournament. There was a bracket hung in the office (just goes to show how serious this tournament it)! After the one loss, they won their way to the winners bracket, all the way to the championship game! I was the lone fan base for her class, and had to bite my tongue more than once during several games. The kids played so hard, and fought together as a team! On the last day, they played three games in a row, back-to-back! Way to go G-Force, I am proud of you! Also, thanks to Mrs. Groban for being an awesome coach!

Cutter and the Mariners

We signed Cutter up to play T-Ball this year at the YMCA! Justin and Wes, my cousin's husband, were the coaches. Only God knew how these two could handle a bunch of three year olds. They did an awesome job, and passed my expectations. Cutter had so much fun, and looked forward to playing baseball with Daddy!

This is Cutter and Hudson, Wes and Aron's son! They reminded me of Jacob and Ryan as they were growing up. It's hilarious to watch these two interact.

Once again, Hudson and Cutter! Looks like they are having a ball playing t-ball. Don't you think?

All the boys did a wonderful job this season on the Mariners. Everyone had their meltdowns, after all they are only three years old, but it was so enjoyable to watch. Here's to many more hours spent at the ball park!

Payton Jacob Keesee

The first two pictures were taken on Thursday or Friday, before the big day on Saturday!

Chad and Rylee

So, after Rylee's First Communion, we sped ALL the way across town to Hendrick. If I'm not mistake the kids 'Big Cousin' shirts had been worn for at least part of the day for three days straight...they were SO proud! As soon as we got to the hospital, I left the kids in the waiting room with Justin, and went to the recovery room to check on Brittney. She was a 'little' drugged up, but looked wonderful! They both had a smile from ear to ear and were beaming! Payton was perfect! I joined everyone else, that was still, there in the waiting room. Remember, he was already an hour and a half old when I got there.

The past three days, we had been telling Cutter that in order to hold his 'Little Buddy' he's have to wash his hands. As soon as we got into their room, this is what he did...WITHOUT being told! He was SO excited, and has been such a great 'Big Buddy!'

Rylee was a natural! She knew just what to do!

I'm sorry to post the picture, Brittney, but I had to put one up of all three of us!

Can you believe they are all daddy's now?

Rylee's First Communion

May 8th was a very exciting day! I have to set the stage so that red puffy eyes will be understood. The afternoon of Thursday, May 6th, my best friend and sister-in-law, Brittney was admitted into the hospital. She was nine months pregnant, and I was the most excited aunt you'd ever seen. On Friday, we spent the day at the hospital morally supporting Chad and Brittney. We couldn't wait to meet Payton, and I couldn't wait to watch Chad and Brittney fall in love with their little miracle. Friday came and went, and still no Payton.

Saturday morning was the only time that I would not be able to be at the hospital. After all, my seven year old had spent every Sunday for the last year preparing for her First Communion. I'm getting ready for Rylee's very important Saturday morning church event when Brittney calls. Dr. Tadvick wants to schedule C-Section...in thirty minutes! I was devastated! I had been at the hospital waiting for two days, and the one time I was not able to be there, they'd get to meet their son. I wouldn't get to be there to check on Brittney, and to tell her it would be okay. So after crying off and on for the next thirty minutes, I dry up and take Rylee to the church. Yes, my eyes are puffy in the pictures, but please forgive me.

Karsen, Rylee and Tyler

Usually, Justin's entire family goes to church. However as today's unexpected events unfolded, they had to divide and conquer! I am very proud of you Rylee for the decision you have chosen to make. The Lord your God will watch over and protect you for all the days of your life! One day, we'll get to go to Heaven and play with Oma and Big PaPa! I love you baby girl!
