Second Lingual Frenotomy

On November 29th, Cutter experienced his second Lingual Frenotomy, or tongue clipping! He had it done at nine months old, but his little tongue still didn't come out very far. I was afraid it was going to effect his speech, and didn't want to wait until he got too old. So, we went to Texas Midwest Surgery Center at 6:45 that morning, and were at home by 9 am! He was such a big boy, and it broke my heart to watch him drive himself into to anesthesia!
He wanted to wear his boots and jeans into surgery so bad! He didn't understand why he had to wear this stinky gown. Poor baby!

Then it was a super hero cape, and the towel was his weapon!

Here's the nurse that brought him his own car to drive. He drove himself into the anesthesia room with a goodbye kiss for momma!

Dr. Goodnight said he did wonderful during surgery and the allergy blood work, but was very grumpy when they finally brought him to me! Which is very understandable considering I've never been under anesthesia myself. His tongue was completely healed by our two week post op visit. His allergy tests showed us that he is allergic to dogs, cats and dust mites. So, we've been keeping a close eye when he is around the visible allergies. As for the speech, some people can tell a difference. I can tell at times, but not as often as I had hoped! It has helped with his slobbering!
